This shot was taken at a jazz festival in Denmark.

Post-processing:
- channel mixer - around 60% red, 40% green, 0% blue.
- shadows/hilights - some +10-15% midtones, no shadows, 60% hilights
- a simple S-curve
- USM, 150/1/3
- framing, which isn't too good - but hey :-)

Edit: New frame and font, minor corrections and contrast changes.

I find the picture extremely expressive and you can almost see the man playing, moving his fingers over the strings rapidly. Of course, I'm faving this one :clap:.

i really enjoy the musical expression that is shown here. the feelings this person has for the music they are performing is capture very well. a +fav for me.

So beautiful, The expression on the face and the raised veins in the arms such passion. The B&W really adds to the simplicity and shows the concentration between artist and instrument :clap: Very well done one of my favorite DA pieces :)

the picture captures the true passion people have more music. the sweat, his veins, his muscles, you can tell he loves what hes doing. excellent work!:D

music is yet another art. and when you capture art with art it makes it beautiful combining 2 mediums to capture one moment one expression even one sound. this picture almost looks old.. the kind of marks on it almost remind me of something i would see hanging on a wall in a jazz club. very beautiful very beautiful. you captured his passion of the music his need to play his fingers playing the sweet sweet sound of the bass.
